As Christians, our most profound distinction as the people of God is that He is present and active among us

When a person becomes a Christian, (that is to put their faith and trust in Jesus as their Saviour and commit their lives to Him), Jesus says that his Holy Spirit will come and live in them. It results in us become spiritually alive and is the experience the Bible describes as being 'born again'

dove leftAsk some people what they think a Christian is and many might reply that it is someone who tries to live by a Christian ethic, you know, living a good life, not hurting anyone, and so on. Some may say someone who goes to church regularly; maybe say their prayers now and again, maybe even read the Bible sometimes. However, the Bible makes a clear distinction with regards to what a real Christian – it is someone who has the Spirit of God living in them. In Romans 8:9 we read 'If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.' What marks out a real Christian is someone who has the Presence of God in them and who know it. Romans 8:16 goes on to say 'The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children”

Dove rightTo have His Presence in our lives is a wonderful thing. To experience His love and joy and peace within us is life changing. To know with certainty that He is my Heavenly Father who loves me, accepts me, has forgiven me, and wants to live in me and be part of my life is truly amazing

It doesn't matter who you are or what has gone on in your life. God truly wants to be part of your life and He has made a way for that to happen, it is through His Son Jesus. Give your life to Him as I and millions of others have done around the world

and

He will come and live inside you and make you His child
