Dozens of people gathered this morning at Lowestoft Road Methodist Church for a service of thanksgiving led by former minister John Fenn, who served from 1999 to 2007

The service saw youngsters from Dusmagrik Young People’s Theatre Company, which rehearses at the building, perform songs from films and shows such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Members then enjoyed refreshments in the church hall, which used to be the main church, once known as Gorleston Methodist Church

Saturday saw a coffee morning with an exhibition on the history of the church, which has a pulpit once used by John Wesley. Current minister Katy Dunn said “We have been part of Gorleston for 150 years and we are proud of that”
