Imagine Norfolk Together's August news and prayer letter
Welcome to the August edition of Imagine Norfolk Together's news and prayer letter (Great Yarmouth)
I work for Imagine Norfolk Together as a Development Worker in and around Great Yarmouth and Gorleston. Imagine Norfolk Together is a joint venture between the Diocese of Norwich and the Church Urban Fund which aims to support churches in their engagement with the local community so that together we can grow in relationship, strength and capacity to meet life's challenges
As always I would love to hear from you. Please ring me on 07471 357072 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Park Baptist Church has started new social sessions to ensure that there is plenty of opportunity to make new friends, enjoy some social activities, and to invite friends who don't go to church
Park Baptist currently runs two social sessions on Fridays. The first is between 2.30pm and 5.00pm at Chatterteria, 86 Middle Market Road, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2DT. There are crafts and activities, or a chance just to meet people and chat. The second is a new social event which happens every Friday at 7.00pm at Park Baptist Church, 14A Crown Road, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2JN
Please contact the church for more information:

Community Ministry Breakfasts started earlier this year with the aim of bringing together people who are involved in leading community ministries in the Great Yarmouth Borough
We meet once a month for breakfast (no charge) in order to share what is going on in our ministries, build relationships and pray for each other
If you are involved in leading a community ministry or are passionate about the love of God being shown practically in our neighbourhoods and would like to be more involved then please contact me at email@example.com or the telephone number below and I can send you more information about the breakfasts
Please note that attendance at breakfasts must be confirmed in advance in order that the right amount of food can be prepared
That all of them may be one...
I was fortunate to be able to attend the New Wine summer conference last week. In spite of the torrential rain thousands of Christians gathered at Shepton Mallett to camp and worship God together. New Wine emphasises two things which are very close to my heart...

Bright Map is a fantastic resource co-ordinated by the Diocese of Norwich. It provides information about the regular groups and activities in our local community, many of which are run or supported by the local church
If you run a group or activity, then please do add it to the map. You can do this by clicking on the "Add your own activity / group" button at the bottom of the page. And don't forget to keep the information updated

The Clewer Initiative was set up 3 years ago to help equip churches to recognise modern slavery in our communities and to be part of the solution for ending it. They provide training as well as a number of informative and publicity resources such as the poster below. DropPoint is a new free platform. It networks charitable organisations asking for items they could use, and allows people to search for causes and donate items they no longer need. It's brand new so there's not a lot on there yet, but if you contact them they will add your charity or organisation
