Christmas in Great Yarmouth Parish

#GOD with US

wishing you a very happy Christmas

Having been here for only a few months, I still describe myself as the “new” Rector of Great Yarmouth
Approaching my first Christmas among you, it’s exciting to anticipate all that we have to look forward to in our parish: carols with new friends in new places and the inevitable local traditions and events which I will experience for the first time.  It’s all new
The story of Christmas is not new to us and we feel we know it well: the angels, the shepherds, the holy couple, the innkeeper, wise men, and cattle.  They come out annually.  But the message is timeless and we tell it again year by year.  God is revealed to us in a stable in Bethlehem and this changes everything.  Sometimes it is good to stand in a new place and hear the story again because then we hear afresh
I invite you to come and join us at Christmas when there are services for everyone and a chance to hear the story anew.  You’ll find all the details below
Wishing you a blessed and peaceful Christmas
