Heavenly Father, as I was walking yesterday I saw some signs with blue background and white arrows,  quite a number of them, beneath were written the words "ONE WAY". There were also signs indicating, "NO LEFT TURN"
A car approached the junction and turned left. There were horns and shouts and as a bus approached it gradually became very clear to the driver that he had gone the wrong way. At least I think it did as I did not wait to see what happened as my walking took me away from the situation; I guess he had to turn round at some point
I have taken many wrong turns in my life and have had the equivalent of horns blaring and people shouting; I have You to thank for the number of times I have managed to turn around and get back on the right road; but sometimes, in Your Grace, You have opened a way of escape that has led me back to the right Way, Your Way, to Jesus
There is a Highway of Holiness, and it is a One Way Street; the eyes of the blind will be opened, the ears of the deaf unstopped, the lame will leap like deer and the mute tongue will shout for joy.  You tell us that only the redeemed can walk there. Gladness and joy will overtake people on that road and sorrow and sighing will disappear
Lord Jesus, my Redeemer, keep me on Your Way, help me to read every signpost You give me clearly in Your Word. I need Your Word as my Bread of Life, Your Highway Code, as it keeps me on the right path. Father, help me to be a signpost today, pointing the right Way, the only Way, pointing to Jesus. Amen
