Share-a-Prayer 15/06/2018

Derek Mill
Worship Leader, All Saints Church, Belton

Heavenly Father, thank You for helping me to pray every day and to share this prayer with my wife and children, their spouses, my fellow church members, and so many others. In fact I now have no idea how many people read this prayer each day, nor who many of them are! (most?)
I am reminded Lord as to how and why this started. It started with a question, "How can we encourage people to pray?"  And my response was to write a prayer each day; people may respond "Amen" or send back their own prayer or do nothing that I know of. The important thing, I think, is that it is to get people praying; this may be the start of prayer, a part of prayer, but is not the end of prayer, or at least I hope and pray it is not
Father this could easily become "a prayer on the street corners" and become meaningless and I have had my reward, but the important thing is it is only the start of prayer, the really deep stuff is between me and You, when Jesus meets with me, Your Spirit leads me. Jesus said I must go to my room, close the door and pray to my Father in Heaven, who is unseen, in secret
This is where I go now, and where I hope everyone who reads this goes now, to meet with You for a one to One, a heart to Heart, child to Father
Thank You again for the privilege of being Your child. Food for thought: I pour out my heart to You. You pour out Your heart into me. No problem is too small to You, what is big to me is big to You. It matters just as much. I come to You now. Amen
