Oscar winner at the Maritime Festival
	 10th September

Well done to our winner, Jill, for correctly naming Oscar,  the crowd stopping handcrafted octopus.  You can see Jill with her prize alongside with one of our dedicated volunteers

Volunteer Coordinator, Kathy, said "We could have sold him 10 times over!"  He was very generously donated by a local knitting club and was a joint effort from all the knitters

Great Yarmouth Seafarers Centre, for the third year running, held their extremely popular Buzz Wire competition at the 2018 Maritime Festival.  The two people who achieved the fastest time to reach the end of the wire without causing the buzz (meaning they’d hit the wire) each won a prize of tea for two at the 4 star Imperial Hotel on North Drive

And the winners will be announced shortly

We also made £216 from the stall towards the running of the centre and more is to come in
