We are about seeing young people's lives changed by Jesus

"You are the light of the world............... put it on its stand and it gives light to everyone in the house"
(Matthew 5 v 14-15)

ENYFC 11-2019AAmilcar spent a lot of last month chasing up the boys in the dinner halls to get their consent forms in for the 5-a-side Football Tournament. This was his first event and he did a great job, reaching 14 lads who wouldn't naturally engage with Ali. It was also the first one-off event we've undertaken in the school holidays as attendance is often very unpredictable but the afternoon was a great success and we are very grateful to Sue and Erny who came along to help and also to Pete Timothy, leader of Park Baptist Church who refereed and eventually got a chance to play a bit too, opening up the debate on who is the most competitive — the kids, Amilcar, or Pete?

ENYFC 11-2019BAt the MAP Young@Arts festival during half term, Ali, along with Matt Ashpole from Identity Youth Project accepted the invitation to promote their various youth clubs and events to young people attending the festival. It was encouraging to meet some of the local young people who live in the town but attend different high schools, as well as connecting with the familiar Charter pupils and other exhibitors. (Colour co-ordination completely unintentional!)

ENYFC 11-2019CThroughout October we were thrilled with the engagement of the young people who turn up to Theos every Wednesday. We're continuing to take stories from Mark as a starting point but every week we're bombarded with questions that show the young people are really thinking things through and trying to understand. One girl *Imogen who you might remember from Spring Weekend where she fell out with her mate *Mel and Holy Spirit brought them back together again, (PD June 2019) is really changing and growing and said at the last Theos "I really, really want to believe, I just don't" We were able to explain to her how faith works and that its not based on feelings

ENYFC 11-2019D On 31st October we are having a one-off "special" Youth Café at Christchurch Methodist in the town centre and Bonnie from Norwich Youth for Christ is bringing their mobile recording studio "Tracks" for the young people to record ther songs/raps/poems and have a go at "mixing" and all that technical stuff that Ali and Amilcar don't understand! There'll be the usual shenanigans going on too so please pray that the regulars will remember that it's at a different venue and thank God for Rosi's generous heart in re-directing the forgetful ones from the Salvation Army to Christchurch!

After the young people leave and the church is put back to "normal", we will be joining with brothers and sisters from local churches and some from Norwich to prayer walk the streets around the Middlegate Estate and the town centre as many of the young people we know and love will be out and about, "trick-or-treat"ing. Please stand with us in your homes and pray for protection and the Light of the World to be seen in the darkness of this night

ENYFC 11-2019E TRUSTEES: These men and women are vital to the existence of East Norfolk Youth for Christ.  31''' December 2019 we will have the bare legal minimum of 3, because 2 are stepping down after 13 years and 9 years dedication. Please ask God if this is a role which He wants you to fulfil. Perhaps try it out for a year? That's around 8 meetings

MONEY: Thank you so much for your prayers and generosity. We have received a £1,500 grant for the Youth Cafe from Snellings and we praise God for their generosity. A couple of funding bids will be assessed in Spring 2020 so please pray that they will be successful so that we can continue to employ Amilcar and expand the team with another worker

ENYFC 11-2019FKAIROS: This is our weekend residential at the Kingswood Centre in West Runton. It is based on the old Spring Weekend programme but we have moved location so it can grow and develop. This year we are hoping to accommodate 50 young people from Norwich, North Breckland and East Norfolk YFC centres. We are also hoping that other youth organisations and churches will be able to bring their young people too so please pray for the numbers to book in and for the finances to subsidise the camp if we can't recruit 50

Friday 13th December: The Sense are joining us once more for our Christmas Gig. If you are able to provide a hot meal for them around 5pm on 13th, or a bed for two nights - 12' and 13", please get in touch. Thank you

Saturday 29th February 2020 - An evening celebration of all that God is doing with the young people in the town with guest speaker Neil O'Boyle, National Director, Youth for Christ

Thank you for your support,' your money, time and thank you so much for your faithful prayers
