Christmas Tree Festival at St Andrew’s was great success

CHRISTMAS TREE FEST 201911st January 2020

The Christmas Tree Festival at St Andrew's Church in Gorleston was a great success and raised approximately £1250 for a wide range of charities and good causes

There was such a variety of trees and amazing creativity on show! There were real bees, artificial trees, and homemade trees. The trees came in different heights, widths, and colours, and of varying construction including twigs, books, and a clothes dryer.  There were shop bought and handmade decorations including painted, knitted, and photographic, and, of course, an iota of school-made decorations

Heart and soul had been put into the trees, and each bad its own motivation, with many reflecting the nature of the charity I good cause being fundraised for

There were 55 frees taking part in the festival and, unfortunately, we can't hope to print them all here, but we are printing a few to show the wide range of trees that were on display. Nothing could beat seeing the tees in real life, hut we hope you will get a sense of the occasion!

The church gives many thanks to all those who put trees in the festival, and to all those who visited the festival and contributed to the charities and good MIMS-  And, one last thank you to electrician Ian Limiett who ensured the safety of the church's electrical systems!
