ENYFC prayer diary for May 2020

Dear East Norfolk Youth for Christ Supporters and Prayer 'warriors'
Thank you so much for your continued support during this exceptional time. As trustees, Nigel, Matt, and I were reflecting on how, in these strange times, reaching out to others to show the love of God is more important than ever - but we are having to be quite ingenious in finding suitable ways to do so!
In that vein, Amilcar and Zach our youth workers have been doing sterling work in organising parental permissions for the Theos Group (Youth Bible Study) - to be able to have a virtual 'meeting'. It's been a lot of work for Amilcar to ensure it can be done safely and appropriately, but already 6 of the 7 regular attendees have now returned their parental permission slips and will be able to have a conversation and study group via a secure online platform

  • This peer support and connection is so important - so please pray for that Theos group-  that it may be a great encouragement to the young people's faith - and pray too for Amilcar and Zach managing a new way of connecting the group

  • Many local churches are finding ways to reach out to their members- , but there are so many young people who are not connected or who are in difficult and even violent environments at home: so please pray for all the young members of our community - in particular those who are missing school or college friendship groups, and the support and guidance of teachers

  • And in particular please pray for East Norfolk Youth for Christ’s ongoing connection with GY Charter Academy - that despite the hiatus, we may be able to effectively maintain that working link

  • In thankfulness too- East Norfolk Youth for Christ has received several gifts in the last couple of months, please remember with thanks those individuals and organisations which have recently given their financial support to East Norfolk Youth for Christ's work

With every blessing
Jemma, Nigel, Matt
