News from the Mag May 2022
Reverend Matthew Price
Vicar, St Mary Magdalene Church, Gorleston
2022 is going to be a special year! Summer on the Mag is returning for the first time since 2019, because of the pandemic. But this year it will be bigger and better as we seek to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee as a community. It will take place on Magdalen Square on Thursday 2nd June (one of the additional bank holidays) and there will be all the usual rides, stalls and attractions
But this year we are also delighted to be working in partnership with the arts organization, Freshly Greated (who some may know from their light display and recent 90’s parade involving a jazz band). Together we are planning to bring some innovative, interactive and fun artists to the event which will make it even more special. There’ll be installations to get involved in and musical and dance artists to enjoy watching
So, as we gather to mark the extraordinary reign of Queen Elizabeth II, let’s celebrate as a community. Don’t miss out on Summer on the Mag!
