Blue Plaques for pandemic provision
Anna Heydon, Development Worker, Imagine Norfolk Together, reports
During the difficult times of lockdown and restrictions during the pandemic, the Borough's foodbanks were needed more than ever and they rose to the challenge. Their tireless work and selflessness has been recognised and commended through blue plaques which were commissioned by Lady Dannatt, the Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk
Pictured below are foodbanks run by Martham Churches, The Well at Gorleston Baptist Church, St Mary Magdalene Church, the Salvation Army, and the Pathway Cafe and Resource Centre, and Belton Church Pantry. Kingsgate Community Church, who provided thousands of hot meals during the lockdowns, also received one, and another plaque will be presented this summer to the Living Room, who provided food and support for the homeless
