Christian unity service set for new year

All Christian churches and groups  are invited to a service on January 20 at St John's Cathedral in Norwich to pray for Christian unity

The online resources for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2022 have just been published on the CTBI website

The Ecumenical Chain of Prayer in Norwich, organised by the denominational ecumenical officers of NWCT, will take place on Thursday  January 20 and will have a new venue in 2022 – St Joseph’s chapel in the (Roman Catholic) Cathedral of St John the Baptist, Norwich, starting at 10.30am

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is traditionally observed from the 18th to the 25th January. The materials for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in 2022 has been prepared by the churches of the Middle East, the history of which was, and still is, characterised by conflict and strife, tainted with blood and darkened by injustice and oppression. The Christians of the Middle East offer these resources conscious that the world shares many of the travails and much of the difficulties that it experiences, and yearns for a light to lead the way to the Saviour who is the light that overcomes darkness
