Great Yarmouth Arts Festival

GY Arts Festival 1ogoGreat Yarmouth Arts Festival 7th to 17th July 2022

The Great Yarmouth Arts Festival starts on Thursday 7 July. In the Minster we have the return of the Chorus of St Cecilia on Friday 8 July and the East Coast Sinfonietta will be playing works by Mozart, Elgar, Vaughan Williams, and Beethoven’s 5th Symphony on Saturday 16 July. There will be an organ recital at 12.30pm on Wednesday 13 July and tea/coffee and cakes will be served during a flute and piano recital in St George’s on Friday 8 July
 
Art in the Minster will be from Friday 8 July until 26 July and there will be exhibitions in the Yare Gallery and Primeyarc. Art on the Railings will be on three weekends in June, July and August
 
St. George’s will be hosting a talent show, a screening of the King and I from a London stage production, excerpts from the film “Our Town”, the Dragon’s World of Musical Theatre and an illustrated talk with music about Mozart
 
There will be five heritage walks during the Festival, a Heritage Fair in St George’s, some music and dance in the Market Place and on St George’s Plaza. The Carnival Parade will be on Saturday 9 July starting on the seafront at 12 noon with the Community Fair in and around Great Yarmouth Library on Saturday 16 July
