I read this morning in my Bible that, before the world even began, God planned to bring us into the glories of heaven. It made me stop and think. God has had us in his mind and heart throughout eternity. We are not alone, we are not unknown, and we are not unloved
Life is not easy, it seems more like a battleground at times when things are really tough, and sometimes it’s even hard to believe there is a God, let alone one who cares. I know, I’ve been there
Even though I've been a Christian for many years, yet God has never let me down. He has always brought me through. No matter how long the battle, no matter how weak and wounded I am, he has never left me. And afterwards somehow I am changed. For the better, not for the bitter - which is my natural instinct. When someone hurts me, I want to hurt them back
But that’s my way, not God’s way. His way is “love your enemies, forgive them that hurt you”. And boy, do I find that hard. So God has to teach me, through various ways, his way, not my way. To become a better person, not a bitter person
Because God so loved the world he sent his son to die on a cross, to teach us what real love is about, what real love looks like. And afterwards, after the battle, when it’s all over, he will bring us into the glories of heaven. Because he cares, because we are always on his mind. Because this has always been his plan. Even before the world began. Even before you were born. We have an everlasting Father. We have the God of Love who cares for us so much that he came down from heaven to die for us, just to show us that he really does care
Put your trust in him today, and prove for yourself he is your God and Father
