The Mission to Seafarers, for whom I work, has been around for over 160 years. On 8th July, Sea Sunday is celebrated in churches from London to Lagos, Manila to Melbourne, and Durban to Dunkerque, as Christians from around the world come together to pray and to celebrate the vital work of the Mission
In Great Yarmouth, we have been looking after the crew of the Malaviya Twenty, and also a Chief Engineer from Malta, and our support has come from the Mission and the local people
 In Luke's gospel Chapter 10: 25 – 35, we read of a man battered and beaten by robbers. A Priest and a Levite walked by on the other side, but, a Samaritan stopped, cleaned his wounds and even paid for him to stay at a local inn
In the same way the Mission to Seafarers along with Great Yarmouth Seafarers Centre are here to help the many international seafarers who use the port, some whom fall on hard times
