We can find a serious problem occurs when moths make their home in a closet or wardrobe. Holes start to appear in clothes! The same thing is true if carpet-moth takes a hold, large areas of carpet disappear! A few years ago I moved a chair in the lounge and found a chunk of carpet had gone. The carpet was quickly taken up and out of the house and the rest of the carpets were carefully checked and observed for the next few weeks. When rust starts to show up on a car it is a sign that the metal will soon perish and a hole will appear. The integrity of the material or the metal has been broken
 Jesus said, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”
Obviously moths and rust were a problem over two thousand years ago!
What can we do when the fabric of society breaks down? What can we do when integrity seems lost? What, or whom, can we trust?
An item can be valued by what someone is prepared to pay for it. We see this regularly in auctions where an item is sold to the highest bidder. The valuation of an item is often given by an expert, an antiques dealer for example; or for a house an Estate Agent. The highest bidder for my life is the God who created me and was prepared to pay for me with the life of His own Son. God is the expert about life
 It seems to me that creation cries "Creator!" Just as a building cries out “Builder!” Because I believe in the existence of a God who loves me and values me I look to him for my ‘valuation’
“Having believed, you were marked in Him (Jesus) with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession--to the praise of his glory (Ephesians 13:14)
What am I worth? Apparently I am worth dying for. That is the price God paid for me; for each one of us. Eternity: guaranteed
