Recently Richard and I had the privilege of accompanying our Pastor, ,Anne Simpson, on part of a trip to Uganda. From the 2 weeks that we were there, there are many experiences that I could share, but I want to focus on what I saw of the supernatural
There were many meetings in various local churches. There was worship that brought people into the presence of God, then there was the preaching of God’s Word and then a time for people to come for prayer. Sometimes it was for people to give their lives to Jesus or recommit themselves. Often Anne gave prophetic words, words she heard from God about individual’s specific needs, and people responded to those and were healed or delivered. Or people were just invited to come, whatever their need
 One evening Anne sensed angels in the room, wanting to do a creative miracle to give someone new lungs. When she shared this, a women in the crowd of people standing for prayer, suddenly fell to the ground. While she was under the power of God, she heard God say that she was healed from a lung condition. The lady was pregnant, and she shared that because of her lung condition she had been told she could not give birth naturally. We heard later that she had returned to the hospital, for them to confirm that she was completely healed and able to give birth!
After praying for healings and deliverance, laying on hands, with people often falling under the power of the Spirit or manifesting as they were delivered of evil spirits, people were invited to check themselves out and see if the problem was still there. People then testified about what God had done and amazingly, often every person prayed for had received their healing!! Lots of people received sight or hearing, people were released from stomach or back or leg pains. People were healed from chronic conditions and pain that they had suffered for many years
A young pastor, who could only walk a few steps without a stick, after a motorbike accident a year previously in which his friend was killed, received prayer and was encouraged to test it out. At first it was tentative and Anne prayed some more, then he started walking and running round the church. He jumped up and down on the spot and then fell on his knees giving glory to God! He threw away the stick, and next morning he was able to share what God had done, as he was a presenter on secular radio!
Jesus healed people in the Gospels, and Jesus heals today!
