Tribute to lifelong teacher and Windmill minister

Patricia GillettTribute to lifelong teacher and Windmill minister

The death is announced of Patricia Gillett husband of Peter. Tricia died in James Paget Hospital on July 30 following a short illness

Many folk would remember Tricia as being a real woman of God who in later years ministered with Pete from their chapel at Thrigby Windmill where they run Windmill Christian Fellowship.  They moved to Norfolk from South Essex in 1993 and worked for 14 years at the Pickenham Centre training folk in prayer and intercession and Bible training courses

Tricia a lifelong teacher, worked tirelessly in schools, finishing her latter years working with the Bible Society's "Open The Book" taking assemblies in local schools in the Flegg area of Great Yarmouth. Women4Christ was her Facebook online encouragement. Another passion was gardening and she and Pete were working to prepare the grounds at Thrigby Windmill for quiet retreats and Away Days under the "Open Gardens" movement

Their love of boats and the Broads often led them to relax on their cruiser at Oulton Broad

Patricia is survived by husband Peter, her children Jenny and Steven and their spouses Richard and Fiona, four grandchildren, three step grandsons and two great grandchildren

The funeral is at 2pm at Mautby Parish Church on 21st August with internment in the graveyard, followed by refreshments and fellowship at Filby Village Hall. Flowers and tributes to Arthur Jary funeral directors in Caister
