Befrienders needed for Afghan families
 Afghan families have recently arrived in Great Yarmouth and volunteer befrienders are needed to support them
To become a befriender one would be expected to have a DBS check and an informal chat with our volunteer manager to discuss expectations
The commitment involved totally depends on the family and befriender's capacity; there are no set timeframes
What would help the new arrivals would be support to find local shops, navigation around the area on buses, help with English conversation, maybe school work, and generally being a friendly face to explain our UK customs and systems
