The festive event began nearly 20 years ago, with the thought that some people from the community would be more comfortable going to a theatre at Christmas time rather than a church building. Since then, Cliff Park has held Christmas services at the Edwardian building almost every year, as well as at other times. A retiring collection was taken, raising £212.18, which was split between the East Anglian Children’s Hospice and the Pavilion Theatre.
