Success at The Bridge
A presentation morning was held at The Bridge Community Drop-in, at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Magdalen Estate, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth on Tuesday 23rd March
Tony Mallion a former broadcaster with BBC Radio Norfolk presented the certificates. Clients had completed the Look Ahead Volunteering Course, Food Hygiene certificate and First Aid. Louise Bullen, Project Development Officer for The Bridge, said it was great that clients had gained a formal qualification. Many of them now wanted to help at The Bridge, preparing and serving the hot meal because they wanted to put something back into their community.
The Bridge is open from 11.30am – 2.30pm every Tuesday and provides a free hot meal, a safe place to meet and information and advice. Training courses planned for mid April onwards include another Food Hygiene certificate and Your Aim Your Gain, which focuses on building self confidence, putting a CV together and much much more!
