The purpose of the role is to develop both the content and the contributor base of the Yarmouth Mercury Viewpoint column in order to further the work of God’s one church in the Borough of Great Yarmouth
The role needs commitment, but you are supported by a team from across the churches; and it is very rewarding to be part of such a widely read outreach initiative 
 
primary responsibilities

• to obtain Christian contributors from a broad spectrum, without preference to denomination, who will communicate to all, both Christian and non-Christian, the word of God and how to apply it in daily lives 

• to keep the list of contributors  

• to assist in keeping a bank of back-up articles from varied contributors 

• to be vigilant as to the integrity of entries 

• to forward articles to the Yarmouth Mercury observing strict deadlines 

• to make all effort to attend meetings regularly 

skills required

• understanding of email, internet 

• familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel programmes 

• good communication and organisational skills 

• able to work as part of a team
