Walk Norfolk and support Norwich Foodbank
Norwich Foodbank is offering people the chance to support its work while enjoying a beautiful walk in the East Norfolk countryside on Sunday May 15th
Over the last 14 years Great Yarmouth Rotary Club have organised the Acle charity walkand have done a magnificent job raising in excess of £180,000 for charities across Norfolk
Hannah Worsley, Norwich Foodbank project manager said 'We are delighted that once again, the Rotary club have organised this opportunity to raise money for charities and we hope that they will be well supported by plenty of people taking part. The team at Norwich Foodbank regularly feel humbled by the amount of support we received, especially with food donations that - through the grace of God - have always been enough to meet need. However, we do have various running costs so any sponsorship directed to us would be very gratefully received. In 2015, Norwich Foodbank gave out enough food for 8,669 people including over 3,073 children. If you would like to support us so this work can continue in 2016, please do consider signing up for this opportunity and choose us as the recipient!’
The walk starts and finishes at Acle recreation centre with a choice of six or ten mile walks, the entrance fee of £6 (pre-registered) or £7.50 on the day includes marshals, maps and directions, and all of the money raised in sponsorship goes to the charity of the walker’s choice
