Accepting the change

From the day we are born to the day we die there will be many changes in our life, there will be a multitude of reasons for this, how we deal with the situation when it happens varies a great deal
People resist change because they believe they will lose something of value, or fear they will not be able to adapt to the new ways, there will be positives and negatives, it’s all about your attitude
As for myself, I had many changes in my life before becoming a Christian, and as far as I can remember, I accepted most of them quite well, no doubt there were concerns about some but, like most situations, you work through them either by yourself or seek help
One of the biggest changes in my life was asking Jesus into it, repenting of my sins, acknowledging Him as my Lord and Saviour and believing the Bible is the Word of God
We all like our comfort zones; stepping out into the unknown seems to bring a fear upon us, but when you have Jesus in your life and He asks you to step out in faith and to do as he asks then we have nothing to fear, He is in control of the situation. The Bible tells us (Joshua 1:5) He will never leave us or forsake us
Jesus promises us many things in the Bible, but we still have to play our part to receive these promises, but I am more than happy to change for my Lord in whom I have total trust
Something to think about in this message: Jesus came to change us; he changed to human form to achieve that. How about stepping out of your comfort zone
